This whole recipe took 30 minutes start to finish!
What you will need:
- 1 lb of Brussels sprouts
- Balsamic vinegar
- Grated Parmesan cheese
- Salt & Pepper to taste
- 1 tbs Olive oil
Wash Brussels sprouts thoroughly, then strip off the outer leaves of each sprout, making sure to remove any dark areas or blemishes.
Bring water to a boil for steaming (i used a double boiler) place spouts in pot, cover and steam for about 10 minutes. Remove from pot and place in strainer to cool and dry.
Preheat oven to broil.
Cut stems off and slice sprout in vertical slices. Place face down on broiler pan and season with Salt and Pepper, then place in oven for about 10 minutes to fully dry leaves.
Remove from oven and drizzle Olive oil over sprouts, return to broiler for another 5-10 minutes until outside of sprouts are crispy and browning. Remove and set aside to cool slightly.
Drizzle 1 tsp Balsamic vinegar over sprouts and mix well. Then plate and sprinkle Parmesan cheese over dish.
