It’s grillin’ time at our house and thought it was about time to sneak in some vegetables! We use the Big Green Egg…more on it later!
What you will need, besides an outdoor grill!
- non-stick grill basket
- 1 lb. Brussels Sprouts
- Olive Oil
- 1/2 large yellow onion
Cut the bottoms off of the sprouts,rinse well and then remove the outer leaves (making sure blemished leaves are gone). Slice into 1/8-1/4 pieces vertically.
Slice yellow onion into thin slices then chop into 1/4 inch pieces. Throw mixture into bowl and season with 1 1/2 tbls. of Olive Oil and Salt & Pepper. Mix until everything is coated well.
Grill should be at roughly 350 degrees; place sprouts in the grilling basket and place on heat. Grill and stir every 3 minutes for 8 minutes. Then close lid and cook for another 10 minutes until done.
