Star Toaster Freebie & Discount….Just in time!

Hello friends!

Star Toaster Review
You may remember the TOS review Jackson and I did for Star Toaster”s Orphs of the Woodlands, earlier this spring.  If you don’t (or if you just need a refresher), Orphs of the Woodlands is a remarkable online curriculum for 4th to 7th graders who love a good story!

Orphs of the Woodlands tells the story of a young squirrel, who gets caught up in an incredible adventure to save orphs, or orphans of the Woodlands; and to defeat the deadly Night Creatures.  Along the way, he encounters other members of the Underground that he’s decided to join, as well as the enemies he’s seeking to defeat.  And what about Abba; is he real or just a story?   This squirrel’s story and exploits are wonderful to read.   We couldn’t get enough of it!  And better still, Star Toaster has woven an amazing curriculum into the squirrel’s story.  During each chapter, highlighted words teach the reader about  science, history, Latin, math, language art, character and even cooking.

Another unusual thing about Orphs of the Woodlands is that by learning and completing tasks, students are able to build virtual orphanages and farmlands for the orphs they rescue.  As if the story itself weren’t enough to keep the reader involved, earning goldstars for orphs is another wonderful incentive!

Both Jackson and I LOVED this program.  And now, you have the opportunity to try it out for free.  AND….everyone who participates in the free trial will receive an additional 25% off the purchase of the curriculum itself!

Star Toaster ReviewAll you have to do is visit Star Toaster or click on the banner above to sign up for your free trial.  Then you’ll be eligible for the 25% discount!  (If you’ve already done the free trial, you can still take advantage of the discount!)  You can also see more about it on The Old Schoolhouse Magazine’s Facebook page.

I hope you’ll check this out.  Lovers of Narnia or the Lord of the Rings—or any great adventure story, really—will love Star Toaster’s Orphs of the Woodlands!
