Here is a perfect FREE resource for sharing the gospel! GO MVMT Action Kit (a review)

#this is a sponsored post#

FrontGate Media connected me with a fantastic organization that’s devoted to helping people learn a simple, clear way to share the gospel–and enable them to do so. And now I can share about GO MVMT with you, and let you know how you can get your own free GO MVMT Action Kit.

Do you ever feel as though you don’t really know how to share the gospel? Or that other people might do it better, or that you need the gift of evangelism to share the Good News properly? GO MVMT is ready and waiting to share the resources with you that will help you overcome those concerns, and step forward!

Who (and What?) is GO MVMT ?

Here’s what you can find on the GO MVMT website on the “About Us” section:

Go Movement is a global collaboration of individuals, churches, and ministries working together to catalyze a world-wide groundswell of evangelism! The month of May is our catalyst.

“GO Movement has the potential to be a movement of God’s people and the Gospel like never before in the history of the Church.”

Dave Gibson, GO MVMT USA Director and Global Taskforce Pastor of Missions & Evangelism at Grace Church of Eden Prairie, MN

And, GO MVMT is really a collaboration of some fantastic Christian organizations and you can see it in their leadership team, with individuals from CRU, Campus Alliance, Dare 2 Share, Grace Church, National Latino Evangelical Coalition, National Day of Prayer, and more. Their purpose is to help people to share the good news. They understand that people may not know how, or to feel comfortable doing so. They have created this wonderful and free downloadable kit that will help anyone!

GO MVMT has developed a simple, clear action plan for sharing the gospel that I believe can equip ANYONE, no matter how inexperienced or shy or afraid, to share the good news with others! GO MVMT’s 3-point plan to sharing the gospel is short, sweet, and easy to remember and to do:

  • Prayer
  • Care
  • Share

To begin: start with #1, Prayer!

This wonderful kit starts everyone off with prayer. First, ask God to show you WHO you can share the gospel with. Make a list of at least 5 individuals. The slim column on the white sheet above then helps you with some ideas of what you can pray for them. (You can even trim that down into a bookmark, which you can keep in your Bible or another book you read frequently. Then, when you see it, you can pray for your people!) The GO MVMT card on the right of that column has 5 lines for you to write your names in. That will remind you to pray for your five people, each day.

I love that GO MVMT starts with prayer. I’m reminded of two verses as I consider this section. First, 2 Timothy 2:3-4 says this about God’s people lifting up prayers: “This is good, and pleases God our Savior, who wants all people to be saved and to come to a knowledge of the truth.” And second, 1 John 5:14-15 says, “This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us. And if we know that he hears us—whatever we ask—we know that we have what we asked of him.” Those are amazing encouragements for us to pray as we begin this journey!

Then: #2, Care

GO MVMT then encourages us to look for opportunities to care for and extend friendship to the people we are praying for. How can we extend God’s love to them? Is it by a meal, or an invitation to get coffee? What about helping them with something physical they need assistance with? As 1 John 3: 18 says, “Dear children, let us not love with words or speech but with actions and in truth.” Sometimes our actions can communicate even more than our words can.

All these build to #3: Share

What can we share? I love how GO MVMT puts it: “Their story, my story, and God’s story.” We can ask them to share what they think about spiritual things, and how those impact their own lives and wants or needs. We can tell our own story, after we ask if we may share it. And then, as God opens the door, we can share His story: the Good News, the gospel. Do you feel nervous about this? You can visit the GO MVMT website for training, ideas, videos, and Bible verses to help. There is even a personality quiz you can take that can help you understand more about the ways that sharing the gospel might work best for you.

I so appreciate how the GO MVMT materials and site have connected us in the digital age to ways we can share Christ. Of course, we can do personal evangelism one-on-one, or in person; speaking to another face to face. But you can also share your faith and God’s story online!! You can share Christ via social media; your blog, Twitter, Facebook, Pinterest, Instagram, or any other digital platform. What an incredible thought and way to fulfill the Great Commission. And God Himself promises to help us–and even tells us where we can share the gospel, in Acts 1:8, which reads: “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.” Surely we can reach “the ends of the earth” today in ways never imagined even 50 years ago through the internet. Now that is truly amazing!

So how can you get your own GO MVMT Action Kit?

The GO MVMT Action Kit has everything in it that you’ve seen above in my photos. You can download it and print it in your own home (I recommend printing on card stock, just because one page can be cut into a bookmark and another, you’ll be writing on and using as you pray. The card stock will help those be a durable resource!). Just click on the link below and you’ll access the kit page. And remember, it’s free to you!

Enjoy! And share the good news! –Wren

“Revolution in World Missions” ~ a review plus a free copy for you!

#sponsored post #partner

I’ve been given the most amazing book about sharing Christ overseas by FrontGate Media. I’m excited to tell you about it, and share a link where you can sign up to get a free copy of this exceptional book for yourself! It’s called Revolution In World Missions, authored by K.P. Yohannan. It spoke to my heart so richly, and I believe it will do the same for you!

Here’s a bit about Revolution In World Missions

“Lord, I’ll give myself to speak for You.”

Young Yohannan had no idea what those words of surrender would mean for his life and for millions of others in his generation. Once an insecure 16-year-old, he became a missionary statesman who has impacted the world of missions and whose unbending message has touched hungry hearts on every continent.

Step into his story and experience the world through his eyes. You’ll walk right into the book of Acts. And through his telling, you’ll hear the very heart of God beating for His creation. K.P. Yohannan’s passion is contagious and spurs you on to be all for Jesus.

He chose to take the road less traveled many years ago, and today Gospel for Asia, www.gfa.org  the mission he founded, is one of the most respected organizations in our time with thousands of national workers and vibrant congregations throughout the heart of the 10/40 Window.

Get ready, your life is about to change!

Do you long to let go of self-centeredness and be more eternally minded?

Do you desire to make a difference in the lost world but aren’t sure how to go about it?

Change Your Life
Many people have said this book changed their life—and it just might change yours too!

My thoughts about the book

What a beautiful experience reading K.P. Yohannan’s book is! His stories about his own life, about people in the 10/40 window, and missionaries who serve with Gospel For Asia (GFA), are incredible and will open the door to a world that many Westerners will be unfamiliar with. It’s a joyful, exhorting, and inspiring book that shows by example and experience what the Great Commission is all about; and what it can look like today–for you!

Although K.P. was born in India, he was educated in Western countries. So, his message about missions and the 10/40 window is shaped by not only by understanding those countries but also being well-acquainted with the American or Western traditions of missionaries. Are you not sure what the 10/40 window is? It’s an imaginary rectangle which lies over 68 countries that stretch from North Africa, across the Middle East, and into Asia, located between 10 and 40 degrees north latitude. Within this rectangle are around 5.11 billion humans, and over 8700 ethnic groups–most of whom have no access to the gospel at all. As the twentieth century closed and the twenty-first began, many of these countries became less accessible to Western Christian missionaries. But these countries are open to their own citizens, who’ve heard the gospel themselves and wish to share it with their own people.

I LOVE how K.P. Yohannan shares about both the needs of these nations, how their own countrymen have come to Christ and are becoming equipped to share the gospel through GFA’s Bible schools and financial supporters. It is humbling and inspiring to read the stories of men and women (because women in the 10/40 window definitely comprise a significant unreached people group) who go into the poorest areas, live among the poor, and bring not only Christ but literacy, medical assistance, and more to those who desperately need it. I love stories like these, which remind me that Jesus not only loves “the least of these” but can make a way for those precious ones to receive Him and His care and provision. I actually sped through the book and couldn’t put it down. It’s a remarkable and challenging (in the best way!) book. And Gospel For Asia is happy to provide you with a copy of it!

Being a missionary is an absolutely incredible experience. But so is helping to support missionaries, or praying for them and bringing them (and those they serve) before God’s throne. I really do find that living in the Western world, with its liberties, wealth, and (oftentimes) ease of life can cause us to forget those who live all around the rest of our globe. I so appreciated how Revolution In World Missions reminded me of the joy of engaging with those other world citizens. Don’t miss this wonderful book. If you’re like me, you’ll find it unforgettable!

How you can get your own free copy of Revolution In World Missions

You can receive a free copy (including free shipping!) of K.P. Yohannan’s book, Revolution In World Missions, by clicking on the link below. Gospel For Asia will happily send you a copy. And, you will be so glad you had the opportunity to read it! It really is a book that will grab your attention, and remind you of how many humans are deeply loved by God, but have never heard of Jesus.

Just for you: “25 Days of Christmas” ebook & podcast (fab freebie!)

#sponsor #partner

Just in time for Christmas…Momentum Influencer Network and AccessMore provided this lovely and free resource guide/ebook for me: 25 Days of Christmas. And you can get a copy free for yourself…as well as tune in to a wonderful family podcast!

What you’ll find in the 25 Days of Christmas ebook

25 days’ worth of Christmas! You’ll find devotionals, fun family activities, recipes, plus ways to serve each other and neighbors and friends, all designed to bless our families plus help draw our focus and attention to Jesus.

Once December starts (and yes! we’re already on day 8 of the month!), life can seem like a roller coaster ride. These parties! Decorating the house! Putting up the tree! Looking at Christmas lights! Of course, we love all these activities. But sometimes in the rush we can lose sight of the important things for the holiday: loving our families; extending that hope and love to others; and remembering that the Jesus we love was the “long-awaited Jesus, come to set the captives free.”

25 Days of Christmas is a gentle, fun, full-of-love family guide to celebrating a little, day-by-day, and inviting the Christ child into our month. I loved reading it, and would especially have loved to have had it when our son was a little guy! Truly though, 25 Days of Christmas would be ideal for any family with kids aged high school or younger. (And those families with older kiddos can adapt ideas for “big kids!”)

I love the joy that Arlene infuses throughout the book. It overflows in her writing. And how perfect is that, since Jesus’ birth, as told to the shepherds, would be “good tidings of great joy, which would be to all people.” (Luke 2:10)

Traceables for Bible Journaling…from Kelly O’Dell Stanley

Y’all might remember that I am a fan of both the creativity of Bible journaling and Kelly O’Dell Stanley’s fabulous Designed to Pray prayer journal.  (You can see my review of Designed to Pray by clicking on the book title.)

I do love Bible journaling.  In fact, as you can see in the image above, I actually even have a Bible journal with extra-wide margins made just for drawing, painting, and journaling.

Sometimes, though, I have a hard time coming up with what to do with those journals.  Sometimes the creativity is brimming over and sometimes the well is dry.

However, my favorite author on prayer, Kelly O’Dell Stanley (see my Designed to Pray review *smiley face*), published a really neat printable on her blog to jump-start Bible journaling creativity.  And it’s free for anyone to download at Kelly O’Dell Stanley.

Here’s just a sampling of three cool pages you can get:

With these, you just place the rectangle underneath your page in your journaling Bible, trace, and then you color or paint!  So fun–and they’re all Bible truths straight from God’s Word.  Paired with lovely images!

You can get these free from Kelly O’Dell Stanley’s blog.  Just click on Free Bible Journal Traceables to print or download your own.

Bountiful Living Link Up ~ February 2016

What has bountiful living looked like for you over the past month?

Bountiful Final Banner

February is generally a wonderful month for us.  We have family birthdays, Valentine’s Day, President’s Day.  Our homeschool coop is off and running for the spring.  We usually get in a playdate or two.

Sadly, this year, February also brought us the loss of a loved one, very unexpectedly.

But I do want to share with you a Bible passage that has been comforting to me over the last couple of weeks.  Normally, I read in the NIV, the NAS, or occasionally The Message.  But I love the way the King James Version presents this  Ephesians 3:14-21:

For this cause I bow my knees unto the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, of whom the whole family in heaven and earth is named, that he would grant you, according to the riches of his glory, to be strengthened with might by his Spirit in the inner man; that Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that ye, being rooted and grounded in love, may be able to comprehend with all saints what is the breadth, and length, and depth, and height; and to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge, that ye might be filled with all the fulness of God.

Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us, unto him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus throughout all ages, world without end. Amen.

God is good.  And He is with us, in all that we do.  🙂
