More about the charming Good Morning, Little One
This beautiful, gentle book is the perfect thing to read in the morning with your children or grandchildren! Amy Kavelaris’ picture book (both written and illustrated by her own hand!) weaves together Scripture, lovely paintings of bunnies, lambs, and puppies, and words of blessing to create an experience that is sure to teach little ones that God adores them with all that He is, and that He is with them every moment of the day.
Amy has also included the verse addresses of the Scriptures that she uses to help children know that God is loving and embracing them, hidden on every set of pages. (If you look very closely, you can see the verse to the left of the lamb’s hooves, inside the light reflected through the window.) This can enable readers to play a little hide-and-seek game as they move through the pages.
The delicate, beautifully-illustrated pages show children lots of moments in each child’s day: the garden; a picnic; falling raindrops; and even difficult moments. There is also a lot of joy in this book! The animals delight in their families, their activities, and their days.
I just can’t recommend this book to you highly enough. It is a lovely, kind retelling of the God who calls us by name and promises to always be with His children. Don’t miss this! And, don’t forget to enter the giveaway to win a copy of this book for your own family. (Just click on the link above, just under the giveaway image.)
Enjoy! –Wren
