My thoughts about “Ordinary Angels”
I believe that “Ordinary Angels” is an incredible and unique film! I’ve been waiting for it to come out for months–every since I first saw its trailer in 2023. I love Hilary Swank’s work; Alan Ritchson is a new fave; and I will always check out any film company associated with “Jesus Revolution!” This film introduces viewers to real people with real challenges. (From a true story!) Hilary Swank’s Sharon is a recovering alcoholic who can’t quite call herself an alcoholic. Alan Ritchson (Ed) is a dad with two precious daughters whose wife has died…and now his younger daughter needs a new liver. Oh–and he doesn’t have health insurance.

Sharon (be sure to see a bit of Swank’s exceptional portrayal in the trailer below) has so many regrets. But when she hears the quote above, she’s inspired to do everything she can to help save Ed’s little girl. He’s not sure what to make of the force of nature that is Sharon. But she may have come into his family’s life at the perfect moment.
I think that you’ll discover that both this film and its cast are captivating. You’ll want to see this lovely film, appropriate for tweens and up (IMO). Keep watching through the credits to be inspired yourself (when you’ll get to meet some of the real people from this story!).
